It's All About the Cake

As Typepad reaches its end of life, we were required to move our website to a new platform. We chose WordPress for its familiarity and the ease of migrating our archived photos and files through export/import.

This is a one-tiered cake for a girl’s birthday. There were nine charming teddy bears representing the girl’s age that sat nicely in the front of the cake. The main character of the cake was a Hello Kitty who holds one bear with a beautiful pink ribbon. Hello Kitty is one of the most popular Japanese cartoon characters.
Cake size: 16’ width (40 cm) and 12’ height (30 cm).
This is a two-tiered (or four layers of spekkoek/spiku cake) for a girl’s birthday. There were twelve gorgeous ducks representing the age. The cake was decorated by several water flowers on the tub and its surrounding with several lovable little frogs.

This is a three layers spekkoek (spiku) cake for a chef and a shopper birthday. The cake was decorated by adding small piece of foods, shopping bags, and presents, while the two picnicking at a park.
Cake size: 16’ width (40 cm) and 12’ height (30 cm).
This is a three layers cake for a baby's first birthday. The cake was decorated with a main character from Hello Kitty (Japanese company Sanrio).
Cake size: 16’ width (40 cm) and 21’ height (53cm).
This is a three layers cake for a girl's 3rd birthday. The cake was decorated with all major characters from the popular preschool children’s TV series, include Little Bear, Owl, Duck, Hen, and Cat. Everyone was holding a cupcake while picnicing in a park. The TV series currently airs on Nick Jr. in America.
Cake size: 16’ width (40 cm) and 14’ height (35 cm).
This is a six layers graduation party cake for three grads from America’s universities. The cake also represents official school colors and college mascots.
Cake size: 12’ width (30 cm) and 20’ height (50 cm)
